HIMALAYA: BHUTAN

"Western laziness consists of cramming our lives with compulsive activity, so that there is no time at all to confront the real issues"

Sogyal Rinpoche

Feb-March 2014

Gallery images re-scanned and upscaled for your viewing pleasure. Pictures vaguely organised along the route of the Snowman Trek - ie starting in Paro and environs and progressing east via Chomolhari, Laya and Lunana to Bumthang. Miscellany at the end!

For definitive further information on this fabulous country, look no further than my good friend Bart Jordans' guidebook!

  • This map, courtesy of Günter Seyfferth, shows the entirety of the Snowman trek. I have appended the alternative route route from Thanza towards Bumthang via the Gophu La in red. Place locations are approximate!
